Shortlist for your use
City commuting, family trips and parcel work need different space and fuel budgets. For each model, write the exact engine, gearbox, trim, safety equipment and warranty conditions. A model badge alone does not tell you which safety or convenience features you are buying.
Ask for an itemised offer
Get a written vehicle price, registration, insurance, dealer accessories, delivery date, financing charges and any trade-in amount. Confirm which extras are optional. For finance, compare total payable and early-settlement terms, not just a monthly instalment.
Warranty and service
Read the local manufacturer's warranty booklet for duration, mileage cap, exclusions and service requirements. Ask about the service-plan cost, parts availability, tyre sizes, battery cover for a hybrid or EV, and whether warranty follows the car when sold.
Before signing
Test-drive the exact powertrain where possible. Check seat comfort, parking visibility, AC at idle and boot access. Verify the sales agreement, cancellation/deposit conditions, delivery VIN and the insurance policy before final handover.
