Documents and CV information

Do not claim âclean recordâ unless accurate. Never send full ID documents to an unverified WhatsApp number.
Questions to ask the employer
- Is salary fixed, commission-based or both? What is the basic salary?
- Who provides vehicle, fuel, Salik/Darb, parking and mobile data?
- Who pays routine maintenance, tyres, breakdowns and accident excess?
- How are traffic fines investigated and deducted? Is there written evidence?
- What are duty hours, weekly rest, overtime and split-shift arrangements?
- Are accommodation, food, transport, medical insurance and annual ticket provided?
- Will the correct work permit/job title and any transport permit be arranged?
- May the vehicle be taken home, and where is it parked?
Driving test / interview preparation
- Carry original licence for viewing and a CV copy.
- Adjust seat/mirrors, use belt and inspect vehicle before moving.
- Follow speed, lane, indication, roundabout and safe-distance rules.
- Do not use a phone while driving; explain how you stop safely before using navigation.
- Show calm passenger service, route planning and incident reporting.
- For vehicle checks, explain tyres, lights, fluids, warning lamps and visible damage reporting.
Red flags
- Pay money first for a guaranteed driver visa/job.
- Drive commercially without correct permit or on another person's account.
- Employer refuses to state working hours, salary formula or expense responsibility.
- Blank papers, blank resignation or undated deductions form.
- Personal use of the employer's car without written permission.
- Pressure to surrender passport or original licence without a valid documented purpose.
Before joining checklist
- Test the assigned vehicle and photograph existing damage with employer acknowledgement.
- Confirm registration, insurance and authorised use.
- Get fuel/card, parking, toll and fine rules in writing.
- Understand accident/breakdown reporting and emergency contacts.
- Match signed offer with the official contract and work permit.
A higher salary is not always a better driver job. Compare total duty hours, rest, petrol, vehicle costs and deductions.
