🛒 Grocery Savings

Spend less without buying food you will throw away.

Shop with a system

  1. Check cupboards and plan meals.
  2. Write a list and set a cash/weekly limit.
  3. Compare price per kilogram/litre, not package price only.
  4. Buy store brands after comparing quality and quantity.
  5. Keep the receipt and review unplanned items.

Use offers correctly

Reduce waste

Cook older food first, freeze safe portions, label dates, prepare work lunches and track what is repeatedly discarded. Avoid stockpiling fresh products for one-person households.

Compare unit price and waste

Example: 500 g at AED 7 costs AED 14/kg; 1 kg at AED 12 costs AED 12/kg. But if half the larger pack spoils, its effective price for the food you eat is AED 24/kg. A larger pack saves money only when you can use or store it safely.

Plan seven days of meals, check what you already own, compare prices per kilogram or litre, and keep the receipt. At the end of the week, note any offer purchase you did not use. Include transport cost before travelling far for a small discount.
