💳 Loans, Cards & BNPL
Borrow only after comparing the full cost and a difficult-month scenario.
Compare before signing
- Annual percentage/profit rate and whether it is reducing or flat
- Total repayment over the full term
- Processing, insurance, early-settlement and late charges
- Monthly instalment, due date and missed-payment consequences
- Salary-transfer and employment-change conditions
Credit-card discipline
Paying only the minimum can keep expensive debt for a long time. Read the Key Facts Statement, pay the full statement balance where possible, avoid cash advances, and never treat the available limit as income.
BNPL risks
Several small instalments can become one large monthly burden. Record every due date, return/refund process and late consequence. Do not use one borrowing product to repay another without professional advice.
If payments become difficult
- Stop new borrowing.
- List balances, rates, minimums and due dates.
- Contact the bank/provider early through official channels.
- Get any restructuring terms in writing and compare total cost.
- Keep payment and complaint records.
Fraud warning: Never pay an upfront personal-account fee for “guaranteed loan approval” or share banking/UAE Pass OTPs.
