🏦 Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB)
A practical UAE guide to choosing and checking an account before applying.
Who should compare this bank?
For a resident paid each month, the main decision is whether the particular ADCB account meets your salary and balance pattern, not whether the bank advertises many card products.
First decide what the account must do: receive a salary, keep savings, handle cash, pay bills, or send money overseas. The cheapest-looking account can be unsuitable if you miss its eligibility or balance conditions.
Find the right product and official terms
Compare the account’s Key Facts Statement with your typical month: incoming salary, lowest balance, debit-card use and cash withdrawals. Confirm what happens if salary stops or falls below the product’s eligibility rules.
- Open the official Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) website and select the exact UAE account product, not just the home page.
- Read its current Key Facts Statement or equivalent product summary, account agreement and schedule of charges. Write down monthly fee, minimum balance or salary condition, card charges, transfer limits and closure terms.
- Check eligibility for your residence status and income. Keep your valid Emirates ID available; the bank may ask for other identification or supporting evidence for its checks.
- Apply through the bank's own site, app or branch. Review the completed application and keep the confirmation, account agreement and reference number.
Use this real-life check before paying
Before accepting an account together with a card or finance offer, treat every product separately. A debit card is connected to your own account balance; a credit card creates borrowing that has its own charges and terms.
For example, compare two accounts using your lowest expected monthly balance, not your balance on payday. Add possible account fees, ATM use, card costs and the full cost of your usual transfers. Ask for written confirmation of terms you cannot find.

ADCB Current Account — official source. Second official reference
ADCB also lists a Universal Account intended for eligible customers in a lower income bracket. If the usual current-account requirements do not fit, compare the Universal Account and its own terms instead of abandoning the comparison.
